About JES

The Justice Education Society of British Columbia (JES) is a non-profit organization with over 35 years of experience providing public legal education and justice system capacity building in Canada and overseas. Each year JES helps over 1 million British Columbians learn about our justice system and address their legal issues.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and self-directed independent contractor to support JES Digital operations across a range of active projects. This is a flexible, remote-friendly contract with an estimated total scope of approximately 100 hours per month, to March 2027. Possible extension/renewal.

Scope of Work

1. Technical Support & Account Management

  • Provide routine support to manage third-party applications, including invoice organization and subscription renewals
  • Research technical solutions and support digital procurement for the JES team
  • Suggest and implement AI integrations to improve Digital Team operations
  • Support JES in submission of funder interim and final reports

2. Website Support and Maintenance

  • Support JES program events by creating and monitoring online booking pages
  • Perform QA testing for websites and web features in the production environment
  • Update content changes across JES websites as directed
  • Identify and fix broken links, bugs, and other content issues

3. SEO Support

  • Conduct SEO audits of JES websites
  • Implement audit recommendations as directed by JES
  • Routinely monitor Google Analytics, Google Ads, Search Console, and Tag Manager; provide summary reports

4. Video Production

  • Revise and update existing JES video content
  • Produce new videos to support JES projects and communications

5. Social Media

  • Design, schedule, and post content on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Design campaign graphics and promotional posters
  • Plan, launch, and monitor social media campaigns
  • Track campaign performance and provide regular reporting to JES

What We're Looking For

  • A Digital Project Coordinator who brings broad technical experience and expertise to support the JES Digital Team to accomplish a series of digital tasks
  • Experience managing social media accounts and creating digital content for an organization
  • Proficiency with website CMS platforms (Drupal, Sanity and WordPress) updating and revising website content
  • Hands-on management and implementation of Google web tools: Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager
  • Video editing skills; experience with tools such as Adobe Premiere, Vyond, Adobe Character Generator
  • Graphic design ability using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with third-party platforms including Zendesk, SurveyMonkey, Cyberimpact, You Can Book Me, and online booking systems — or ability to learn quickly
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams independently
  • Report generation; visually display project and program progress with graphs, tables, and charts
  • Technical knowledge of Google Suite and Windows 11 to assist with troubleshooting
  • Experience working with AI LLM tools and skills
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Available for meetings during Pacific Time business hours
  • A genuine interest in the non-profit sector and JES's mission
