Robin Sully

In Memorium

A trailblazer, Robin was one of the few women in Commerce at Queen's University and later graduated from McGill Law School. Her passion for justice was ignited by her time with CUSO in West Africa, where she developed a profound commitment to human rights. This calling led to a remarkable career supporting access to justice in over 30 countries. Her impact was recognized by the inaugural Commonwealth Lawyers Association's Rule of Law Award and the Walter S. Tarnopolsky Award for Human Rights. Even after her cancer diagnosis, Robin continued to advocate tirelessly. She was the chair of the Ontario Advocacy Committee for Multiple Myeloma and co-chaired the Ottawa-Gatineau Multiple Myeloma Support Group, raising substantial funds for research and helping to put patients' voices at the center of life-saving medicine development. We were very fortunate to have her on the JES Board of Directors and will miss her thoughtful and insightful contributions.
