Building Effective Justice Systems in Ethiopia is a partnership between Justice For All Prison Fellowship Ethiopia and Justice Education Society.
The goal of the project is to strengthen the Ethiopian criminal justice system, by providing training and resources for Ethiopian police, prosecutors and judges. The three phase project includes training in crime scene examination, major case management, and oral trial skills. The training includes a specific focus on crimes of violence against women.
The crime scene investigation training of trainers began in May 2011, led by two Canadian forensic experts and a Detective from the Vancouver Police Department Domestic Violence and Criminal Harassment Unit.
